In Line to See Jesus

Someone sent me a YouTube video about four-year-old Spencer who saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, "Where's the line to see Jesus?" His grandfather heard about his comment and wrote a song with that question as the title. You can hear it here.

 I've recently heard from women who are in that line. Sharon emailed, "I just had my annual 'Christmas Tea' for ladies yesterday in my home with the usual 40 in attendance. Only a few attend my church and most are unchurched. I wasn't going to do it this year because of my extra busy schedule, but the Lord prompted me to do it. I believe He also wanted me to give more attention to speaking the gospel message of salvation. I gave out Life Application Bibles to all and they seemed to appreciate it. I may never know the results of the seeds that were planted but I know how I felt knowing God was pleased!"

 Patsy is also in that line. She wrote, "Tomorrow God is leading me on a 24-hour silent prayer retreat, and Thursday evening I will be having a Christmas Prayer Party - my second silent retreat and first Christmas Prayer Party! I am excited! Do I have my shopping done? No! Do I have my Christmas cards written and mailed? Not one! Yet I have a tranquility of spirit because God is in charge of all that I do."

 Dear Jesus, teach us how to prepare our hearts so we, too, see You this Christmas.

 "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you" (Psalm 73:25).

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
